Thes may be small but their presence is prevalent. Quick on their feet and seemingly bustling with endless energy, they get to work quickly. Sometimes this causes them to jump from task to task or topic to topic without much cohesion, but they assure you it’s all relevant. While studious in important duties, they are notorious for a quick wit and casually playing tricks among the many things they work on. It’s not uncommon to be sent on a scavenger hunt to find a book they assign for study or sending their apprentices on what seems like an epic journey just to have them cool their heads. Thes isn’t cruel, though, and tends to often make any task or trick have reason and rhyme for the individual.
Thes’ teaching style is confusing at best, it has no defined structure or path but rather seems to adapt to the apprentice and their current state of mind. Sometimes this causes Thes’ apprentices to suffer a day of harder-than-usual lessons, and sometimes it causes them to wind up repeating things they may have already done. In the end, if one learns to play along with Thes’ strange games there is a great deal of joy and fun to be had with the lessons and knowledge to extract from this cheeky character.


Levels & About

The nature of air is to alter without an obvious source. Generally invisible to the naked eye, this leads many to see Air magic-wielders as sneaky and playful; maybe even rogue-like. The prankster archetype of an Air user may be well-founded, but those who master it are also thoughtful and well-meaning.

Masters of Air magic tend to change their courses abruptly, or pass by without notice. What might seem like a sudden and unforeseen shift in tactics could be incredibly well-planned. On the other hand, they can make quite an entrance if they feel like it, maybe even sweeping others off their feet in the process. Air is life-giving, and often not given the credit it deserves for the incredibly important role it plays.

  • 0 -- Affiliated -- Cannot yet use air  magic
  • I -- If there is a current or a gust, one can change the direction of the flow or manipulate updrafts and wind-direction.
  • II -- A small breeze may be brought to a strong, channeled blast by a skilled hand. 
  • III -- Can seemingly ‘harden’ the air to a more physical attack and conjure specific movements and shapes. This hardening of air can also be used to lift or cause objects and people to become airborne for a short time (cannot cause flight).
  • Defect -- You have forced your body to adapt too much to Air, and now your form knows only that. Parts of your body are constructed purely of hardened wind.

Bira is quite the studious individual who is hard to notice at first glance among crowds. He makes a great deal of effort to build up others, strengthening their foundation and settling their mind. He can often get lost in the background with how often he puts others ahead of him, but make no mistake this character is not one to underestimate. Bira has great power that is only ever really shown when it's most needed - not even his apprentices often see the full extent of what he can do. He’s not great at speaking with others, but he has an incredibly soft heart when it comes to learning of the struggles and issues one may be dealing with. Even though he may not communicate well, his efforts to help others always leave lasting impressions in the hearts of those around him. If you need a trusted friend, Bira is the one people go to.
Birathan’s main teaching method is to observe, study, and focus on building up what his apprentices do rather than imposing his own way of casting magic onto others. He prefers to let the individuals he is teaching figure things out through their preferred methods and extend his lessons based on that.


Levels & About

Often the appeal of Earth magic is its offer of stability and constancy, but in reality it is always shifting gradually over time. Earth mages are a testament to this; the persistence of change even in the slightest. What may be to some a small action with no effect leads to massive alterations down the line. Even if we do not live to see it, it will still be so.

Masters of Earth magic may seek to harness this gradual change; seeing much potential in the smallest of actions. It is the responsibility of one learning Earth magic to also understand that if not given the time to change at its own pace, built up power can become explosive and uncontrollable. Thus, a balance must be derived. What is enough, what is too little or too much? Earth magic users are often acknowledged as philosophers with keen foresight. They do not seek to stop what changes, they would rather change with it. Despite this deep understanding of change, Earth users can often be stubborn or unyielding once they’ve put their mind to something.

  • I -- Using the existing earth, shapes can be formed on ground, like mounds, drawings, or shallow pits.
  • II -- Gathering more materials, stronger, more compact forms can be erected. Loose earth may be formed into dense rock, or vice versa.
  • III -- The manipulation of the ground can cause larger natural phenomena, like tremors and fissures, displacement of earth from the ground for use as structure, barricade, or physical attack.
  • Defect -- You have forced your body to adapt too much to Earth, and now your form knows only that. Parts of your body are constructed purely of Earth.

About Giyas

Giyas has a far more concerning exterior than interior. Being constantly alight with an element most wormkin find a death sentence is enough to cause individuals to stay wary and distanced. The personality of this individual is far more welcoming than his appearance. Playful and even sometimes considered a prankster, Giyas encourages finding enjoyment in small things and focusing on the fun in life. Despite his mischievous ways, he still shows great understanding and respect to those around him who may not be as ready to approach or interact, keeping most of his antics to those he grows more familiar with.
Giyas’ teaching style is focused on calming fears of the apprentice and uplifting the confidence of them as well, focusing on understanding fire as any other element of life: Dangerous yet capable of many wonderful things. When training with Giyas, he fully expects you to take your time and figure yourself out and struggle with fears. He will focus on lightening the mood if growing ever too dark, and building one's confidence over time.

Levels & About

Fire has often been seen as a polarizing element with both positive and negative connotations. While one person may see its destructive force and cower, another may marvel at the granting of new life and rebirth. 

Those who use Fire are often seen as one of two ends of a spectrum; one end touting strong all-consuming blazes that ravage without restraint, the other more nurturing, sequestering comfort from the flame that could warm the coldest of hearts. Fire is an innately transformative magic that requires a patient hand to master and not allow to get out of control.

  • 0 -- Affiliated -- Cannot yet use fire magic
  • I -- If there is a fire lit, one may alter its flow and the intensity of the burn.
  • II -- A fire’s strength can be both increased and decreased, as well as altering the temperature’s intensity; causing a flame to be harmless if touched or scorching to stand near.
  • III -- Can conjure flames without need for a burning fire. These can be formed into specific attacks utilizing the previous level’s knowledge to fortify them.
  • Defect -- You have forced your body to adapt too much to Fire, and now your form knows only that. Parts of your body are constructed purely out of flames.
