Winter falls across Skire, snow blanketing the fractured earth. Massive icicles hang from the islands, a stillness bringing a newfound sense of ease to the chaos. Many finally feel safe enough to settle in by the fire with a cup of spiced cocoa, taking in the lights as they glow from beneath the snow. Winter merchants sell warm clothes and toasted treats, sweets and feasts abound across Skire's winter. Winter brings about a certain joy, but too has its own stresses, those still rebuilding now in a rush to do so before the cold weather buckles down, ice causing the threat of slipping to increase tenfold.  How do you spend the winter season?

A familiar face has re-emerged this winter season, their icy tower still standing despite the chaos surrounding it. Fleece has opened his doors to those in need and those in search of safety, the structure a shockingly warm oasis amongst the chill. Gifts, food, and merriment fill the large halls, comfort found in new and old friends alike, coming together after strife. Fleece's gifts are generous, but scattered about them are bags of coal, taped with hastily written but heartfelt notes.

When you look around, seeing the hundreds and thousands of other Skireans hustling around and going about their day, you can't help but to wonder what stories each of them has to tell. It's hard to fathom that all of these people, most of which you've never once met, hold a unique story of their own; one waiting to be told... even you- yes, you- have a tale to tell.

• Were their first moments serene and whimsical, or were they filled with chaos? The possibilities are truly endless!

Spring Abound

⦿ PROMPT

Spring brings Skire into a season of renewal, but also to many of its flora, fauna, and residents, it represents a time of death as well. As the winter snow melts, the flora that did not make it through the season's harsh weather begin to rot. On the other side of spring there is new growth. This growth is known to overtake the growth of prior years, often choking out other flora in a cycle of death and rebirth. for something new to grow, something old must supply the foundation. Rain is a common occurence, puddles of Skire's magical energy fueling the growth and overgrowth of the world.

Renewal is a common theme for Skire's residents as well. Many treat spring as a season of reinventing oneself or trying something new. The spring since the shattering has been a time of rebuilding, many coming out of their makeshift homes to finally begin them anew. Growing trees reach their roots out in search of earth, wrapping around the floating islands, holding many together. What does your character use the springtime to complete? Do they try something new, finish a project, clean up, or refresh their belongings?
