Differing Tendrils - [All tendrils may be affected by a tendril trait, or only certain tendrils. With different traits, some tendrils can display differently than others, for example a mix of Shaped Tendril Tip and Flat tendril. These traits may combine on a single tendril or be dispersed up to the designer's choice]
Tendrils on Forehead (Uncommon)
Tendrils are placed above the eyes and in front of the ears
Can have tendrils on both the forehead and in common placements such as trailing behind the ears, on the back of the head, down the neck etc
Flat Tendrils (Uncommon)
Tendrils must be flat vertically or horizontally
Tendrils should still taper or round out at the end
May not have holes, cuts, or odd shapes unless using Odd-Shaped Tendrils
Split Tendrils (Uncommon)
Tendrils must be flat vertically or horizontally
Tendrils split once
Tendrils should still taper or round out at the end
Tendrils can have shaped tips on each split
Shaped Tendril Tip (Uncommon)
Affects only the tip of the tendril
Shapes include stars, diamonds, spades, multiple small splits, etc
May be semi-complex such as rings, holes, combinations of tip shapes, etc
Tendrils may differ in tendril-tip shape
Thin Tendrils (Uncommon)
Width should remain thin across the entire tendril
Minor taper may appear
A mix of thick and thin tendrils may be present
Sparkling Tendrils (Uncommon)
May effect all tendrils and tendril colors, part of the tendril, the full tendril, or only specific colors and markings.
Must share hue with the base color of the tendril
Sparkling Tendrils can change tendril particles themselves into sparkles that trail off the tendril
Particle Tendrils (Uncommon)
Can be shaped
Should remain focused around the tendril and not float too far away
Particles can spawn and dissipate with time or float in a cloud around the crowns
Can be affected by marking types. With Sparkling Markings the particles themselves may be sparkles
Effects cannot be elemental
Cannot be turned off
Metallic Tendrils (Rare)
May effect all tendrils and tendril colors, part of the tendril, the full tendril, or only specific colors and markings.
Tendril reflects a metallic sheen which is generally monotone, meaning highlights and shadows share general hue with the base color
Should not resemble objects
Opalescent Tendrils (Rare)
May effect all tendrils and tendril colors, part of the tendril, the full tendril, or only specific colors and markings.
Tendril reflects multiple colors, creating an opalescent or multi-chrome look
Glowing Tendrils (Rare)
May effect all tendrils and tendril colors, part of the tendril, the full tendril, or only specific colors and markings
Glow must share hue with the base color of the markings
Can be turned off and on by choice, mood, etc
10-24 Tendrils (Rare)
Tendrils on Face/Cheeks (Rare)
Floating Tendril Piece (Rare)
Tendril base must be connected to the head
Must float in a clear tendril shape or as an extended piece of the tendril
Tendrils may appear to be split up, have floating shaped ends, etc.
25+ Tendrils (Myth)
Tendrils can differ or be similar
Counts as total number for all tendrils across the body
Tendrils may not heavily obscure the design
Overgrown Tendrils (Myth)
Tendrils on Lower Body (Myth)
Tendrils are located anywhere below where the neck meets the shoulders
Can be placed on the ears, Horns/Spikes, wings, limbs, etc
Tendrils can be asymmetric, placed in multiple spots, or dispersed across the body
If Tendrils are located on the wings, when the wings are hidden, the tendrils are automatically placed on the closest part of the back
This trait also allows for Tendrils to be placed on the face, forehead, and standard head/neck placements without the need for additional traits
Linked Tendrils (Myth)
Tendrils attach somewhere other than the tendril tip
May be used to create webbing between tendrils
Cannot create looped tendrils with no clear end
Transparent Tendrils (Oddity)
Can affect part of or all of the tendril. May also effect all tendrils or only certain tendrils
Tendril can have markings or be patternless
Elemental Tendrils (Oddity)
Elements that can affect the tendril: Water, Air, Fire, Earth, Ice, Ether, Smoke, Steam, Storm, Magma, Sludge, Electricity, Nature, Light, Space, Blood
Should follow standard base tendril shape, but can have trails of the element coming from the tendril
