Refresh with the Harvest
The sun was just starting to rise over the long rows of stands that came together for the festival, and Moo wiped off her forehead.
It had been hours of organizing people to their booths, making sure everyone was settled in, and that everything was just right for the opening.
A smile appeared on her face as she walked past every stall, starting to look at the wares each sold or traded as their owners organized for the start of the festival.
The festival had grown tremendously over the last few years since the first one she ran.
Now several more aisles of booths had been added to her list, and it amazed her just how creative and unique every one was.
From crafts to goods and things even more beyond her comprehension, it was a beautiful get together of Skire here.
The final booth Moo stopped at was her own - a large stall selling homegrown goods and a small pasture for a petting zoo.
All kinds of different plants and animal products she had personally taken care of and harvested lined the shelves, a dream she had made become real over just a few years.
Moo composed herself for a moment, before walking over to a stage that was just across the way from her stand.
“Alright y’all!” Her voice crackled over some speakers, and the stall runners turned to her.
A few early birds to the festival also turned their heads, and she gave a soft smile. “Everyone’s booths came out fantastic this year, just like every year.
We’ll have visitors from all over Skire, and ahm sure y’all are ready.” Moo nodded, before holding her clipboard up in the air. “Now, let’s get this festival started!”
Moo-kies
“Howdy!” Moo’s voice carries forward as you approach, a large smile on her face.
She’s wearing a plaid apron, and seems to have just laid out some fresh goods onto the counter.
“Welcome in! Ah’ve got many baked goods for ya to choose from if you’re interested, or if you’d like a little taste lemme know!
I think I still have some samplers… Maybe.”

Bathwork Creatons
"AHOY!" A loud cheer comes from a booth to your right, and a silver and brown Gravent with golden wings ushers you to a somewhat haphazardly put-together stall.
The wood was stained with various chalky colors from the homemade bath products and the wooden plank that served as the table seemed to barely contain the pink,grape-scented bubbles from the tub that made up the front of the booth.
"Welcome to BB and R's Harvest bath work creations! My name is Rainer, and this is BB!" He announced proudly, gesturing to the small Nautipod on his shoulder.
"Please excuse the misspelling of the sign, little BB did their best." Rainer added from behind one stained hand as if the pod wouldn't hear.
"We have a wide variety of homemade harvest bath products that I'm sure you'll love!"
Booth Requirements
- What do you choose from their shop to bring home with you?
- Do you just take a moment to smell the scents?
- Rainer and BB can be used as NPCCCs in this prompt! Say hello to them HERE and HERE!
Fencing
Booth 4...booth 4...Woah, is that it? Double checking the flier the booth attendant gave you, you marvel at the large structure.
A conical tent towered above the surrounding stalls.
Styled like that of a medieval Ren Faire. Adorned with fancy close-combat styled weapons.
“Yeah this is it. The fencing pavilion.”
"Learn about the art of close combat! Join in on lessons from an expert! And then fight against your friends for prizes!" The flier undersold this place.
It was as if you had walked right into a castle's practice range. Complete with groups of fair-goers paired off into twos practicing moves with fencing swords
"You made it!" Turning to your left you hear the voice of the same booth worker that gave you the flier but a mere 10 minutes before.
A Gravent, over excitedly hopping from one foot to another. "I'm happy so many people showed up, I'm so excited!"
The Gravent's gaze turns to the stage. "My friend," the Gravent gestured to a tall man standing on the stage, carrying a huge halberd.
Who you could only assume was the booth owner. "It's...been many years since I've had the chance to witness him in battle."
The Gravent longingly states. "I think its something everyone should get the chance to see.
The head war surgeon! WELL, back in his day at least. His skills with weapons is a real treat to see. I know everyone is going to have fun learning from him!"
The Gravent continues on with a suspicious chuckle. "And the winner of the tournament gets to fight the big man himself."
Your attention turns back toward the stage. I'm curious as to how far you could make it within the tournament. There's only one way to find out.
[Note: This tournament is only for flavor - there won’t be extra prizes or a tournament contest.]
