It’s finally come time for Borrow to settle down and read the book that you have all been waiting for. As he settles down at his podium along with a little cushion, you watch as all kinds of Skire creatures settle and sit around you. They all seem eager to find out what lies within the old pages of Seclusion of the Sun!

“Alright everyone,” Borrow begins with a warm smile on his face, fixing his glasses and setting up the book for optimal reading comfort, “Let us begin, shall we?”

“The town of Runswick is a town most say is populated by the lost, the lonely, and the mysterious. An old western town that feels lost in time as the world beyond it expands; being this far out in a desolate desert, it's not all that surprising.” Borrow stops for a second as there is a small rumble that runs through the floor. He shakes it off with a small smile. “Oh, don’t worry. It’s just the mountain settling!”

“The Detective and his partner amble down the main street, dust blowing and settling over creaky wood buildings. He groans, struggling to be excited about a town that looks like every ounce of life and color was drained from it long ago. The two pick the one building that seems to have attention given to it -- a decrepit old bar by the looks of it.

‘Figures.’ the detective scoffs under his breath.

“Shady looking CCCats and Crooks alike stare from beneath their hats at the odd pair as they break through the saloon doors, eying as they approach the bartender. They take a seat on the rickety stools as they strike up conversation with the burly CCCat - who does not seem too keen on visitors unless they plan on taking out the beast that haunts Runswick.”

‘It’s a beast that only shows up on moonless nights - takes in the form of a shadow and wants to murder all that is in its path. It’s on the road of revenge from what all I’ve heard -- somethin’, or someone, here decided to cast it out from its proper home and place. Some even say that long ago it had worked with the town’s old mayor, and now it stays, stuck, haunting in search of the mayor and any who worked alongside him…’ The grumbling bartender clicks a glass in their direction. ‘Supposedly, tonight’s one of them moonless nights -- it’s gained its lost power from after the banishment and it's… coming back…’”

Borrow goes silent as he stares over the book, “No.. No this isn’t how this goes… This…” There’s a roar of anger that seems to emerge from the book itself. Large black claws burst forth from the pages as suddenly a giant, shadowy creature towers over the comfortable guests - black and red drops of shadowy essence dripping and disappearing onto the ground around them. It lets out a roar of anger and begins to move past them, throwing bookshelves to the left and right.

The voice that echoed through the library a few days before the reading returns, louder, angrier, and full of laughter.

“It’s time, Borrow! I’ve come back to remind you of the enemy you made… To reclaim what you took from me, to make you remember WHO. I. AM!” Another bookshelf slams to the floor, toppled by the shadowy beast, “To make you remember what you did - who half this library belongs to! You will feel the pain you made me experience. If that lies with the destruction of the books you hold so dear and that I once did, then so be it! I have created something better!”

"Now face my monstrosity!"

The shadowy beast tears through the books and shelves of the Compendium, roaring and pushing aside whoever gets in his way. At this rate, the entire library is going to be destroyed!

The monster seems to be falling further back in its advances as more and more damage is piled onto it. There are wounds covering its body that all seem to be leaking some sort of their essence, and as it stands to face you all down, it retreats as the book lights up - for a final time. There's silence as the book shimmers and gleams before it falls dim once more, and standing on its pages is a CCCat that is shorter than that of the ones before it - and one of its legs seems to be replaced with a wooden one, creaking as it goes and scratches its forehead, with a mixture of different agitated grumbles.

It's the bartender from the book! They seem irritated with their new predicament, their eye adjusting and re-adjusting itself to the dim room surrounding it. Hissing is heard as he murmurs under his breath, before he looks over towards where the beast is fighting a group of Skire characters. He mumbles something along the lines of, "Dang nabbit," before hopping off of the pedastal with a click of his wooden leg, adjusting his hat and bowtie before hobbling towards the detective and their sidekick with more of an irritation rather than helpful gleam in their eye.

"You celebrate a hollow victory for a creature who stood with the dark. A creature who turned against friends, who built a monument upon lies and fear."

The beast sputters, but these words do not come from it. The beast is hurt... and it looks far more dangerous now than it ever appeared before.

"These halls will burn - It is the only way to purge the evil that inhabits within."

You've unlocked all the premades, but the beast isn't finished! Keep fighting to defeat it once and for all!
